Rev. Fr. Ehrhart had rendered his yeomen service to this esteemed St. Joseph’s Heritage College for 30 years from 1932 - 1962.
Joined on the staff as Professor of Economics after his return from Cambridge University in 1932.
Appointed as the Vice-Principal of the College in 1932.
Took the mantle of Principal-ship in 1942 from his celebrated predecessor Fr.Jerome D’Souza SJ.
He was a stable and strong Principal of St. Joseph’s College for 20 years from 1942 -1962.
Established the traditions of regularity in attendance, toned up the conduct of tests and examinations.
The Ehrhart Computer Centre, known as ECC completed 13 Years of its service to the students.
Due to the rapid changes in the field of computer and IT, the centre has different types of Operating Systems and Hardware Configurations.
The centre has IBM servers with the support of various operating systems such as Windows server 2003, 2008, 2012 and Fedora 11.

The Features of the Centre:
Fr. Ehrhart Computer Centre is known as ECC
THE ECC Stands tall with 192 latest Computers, spaced out in different 3 labs.
The Lab 3 has 80 computers, the Lab 2 has 48 computers and lab 1 has 64 computers.
All computers are with ASUS i5 Processor, 500 GB hard disk, 4 GB DDR 4 RAM.
Lab 3 with 22 new computers with i5 Processor, 1 TB hard disk, 8 GB DDR 4 RAM, LED monitors.
Lab 1 with EPSON EB-X31 Multimedia Projector.
Has the top level IBM server called ‘Blade Server’ with the latest zero down-time dual set circuits and Xeon E5504 processor with 1 TB hard disk and 16 GB RAM.
To distribute the high end server power: 9 NetGear 24-port network switches and 9 patch panels with power managers.
To maintain the process speed: CAT 6 Type cables with 1000 MB/Sec speed
For better safety of the Students: The EB lines are restructured.
KVM switch is fixed with possible eight blades to switch seamless server blades.
For longer uninterrupted power supply: 30 KVA Alltech UPS, 20 KVA and 15 KVA CONSUL UPS are maintained with 81 brand new Exide 40AH tubular batteries.
For Better Print-Outs of the Project: A multi-function Canon Image Runner 2520 laser printer, Lipi T6306 and T6050 are available.
Special Utility of the Lab:
Regular Labs conducted and fully utilized for the whole day from 8.30 am to 6.40 pm.
Caters the essential needs of the students of Arts and Science disciplines.
IOT Based practical labs are regularly conducted by IT Department.
The Beneficiaries: Caters to the essential needs of an average of 3500 Students of Arts and Science disciplines per semester.

Rural Students from Shepherd village, make use of the center for the basic computer knowledge.
During summer vacation, the 12th Standard Catholic students make use of the ECC lab for learning basic computer knowledge.
The ECC offers practical sessions in Computer for all the students pursuing in B.Sc., M.Sc., M.C.A., M.Sc. (Information Technology) & PGDCSA.
Besides the Computer Science Department, students of other departments such as Commerce, Commerce CA, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, BBA, Electronics, Botany, Economics, Statistics and B.Voc., have regular computer Practical sessions as per the curriculum.
