Profile of the Department
The Department of Electronics, St. Joseph`s College was established in the year 1993. The Department exceptionally offers Undergraduate (UG) and Postgraduate (PG) programmes. The UG programme was started in 1993 and PG programme was started in 1997. Right from its inception, the department has a rich tradition in teaching and works primarily on imparting the students with knowledge & skills in Electronics. The research interests of the faculty members of the department involve the wide area of applied and fundamental aspects of Electronics. The department has a well-equipped research lab to encourage and promote research activities.
The department has excellent infrastructure including separate U.G and P.G laboratories to facilitate the graduates with latest trends and to give learning, a practical dimension. The curriculum is designed to acquire expertise in embedded system and provide practical exposure on the same. The department has always been on a progressive path. The experienced and dedicated faculty members, who have a strong commitment towards providing quality education, help to produce globally, competitive and socially sensitized UG and PG graduates and to bring out quality research in the frontier areas of Electronics. The graduates are trained skillfully and are motivated to express their creativity through our annual electronics exhibition `JOSELEX` conducted once every academic year. In the context of sharing knowledge, consultancy services are offered to various departments inside the campus as well as outside the campus.
